Our Hatchnails Hat is a limited-edition design crafted with care and tradition. Made from the wool of our Coloured Ryeland Flock, which grazes on the lush pastures of the Erme Estuary overlooking Mothecombe Beach, this hat is steeped in heritage and sustainability.

Inspired by the Gansy traditions of coastal fishing knitwear, the intricate cable stitch symbolises “safe passage,” while the moss stitch reflects the texture of carrageen moss seaweed, representing optimism for a “bountiful harvest.” Entirely made in the UK, this hat showcases the best of British farming and textile craftsmanship. From wool grown within our Regenerative Farming System, spun into yarn at the Natural Fibre Company in Cornwall, to being expertly knitted in the historic textile heartlands of the Midlands, every step celebrates sustainability and quality.
