Nature Recovery at Orchard Farm

Nature Recovery at Orchard Farm

At Orchard Farm, nature isn’t an afterthought—it’s at the heart of everything we do. Our land is managed regeneratively, meaning that every farming decision we make is designed to restore biodiversity, improve soil health, and create thriving habitats for wildlife.

Bringing the Land Back to Life

Since taking on the farm in 2022, we have worked tirelessly to regenerate our landscape. From planting thousands of trees to restoring wetlands and enriching wildflower meadows, we are actively reversing habitat loss and creating space for nature to flourish.

Our Key Nature Recovery Projects

🌿 Wildflower Meadows
We are restoring and expanding species-rich meadows filled with Bee Orchids, Pyramidal Orchids, and Yellow Rattle. These meadows support pollinators, birds, and small mammals while improving soil health and carbon capture.

💧 Wetlands & Waterways
By creating ponds, leaky dams, and rewilding sections of our stream, we’ve transformed a once-drained watercourse into a thriving wetland habitat. Frogs, dragonflies, voles, and birds now call this space home.

🌳 Orchards & Wood Pastures
We’ve planted over 250 fruit trees and expanded our wood pastures, offering food and shelter for insects, birds, and grazing livestock. These biodiverse spaces act as corridors, allowing wildlife to move freely across the farm.

🌾 Wildlife Crops & Herbal Leys
We dedicate areas of the farm to planting crops and grasses that provide essential food for birds, bees, and other wildlife. These fields bloom with life, ensuring nature is supported all year round.

Farming in Harmony with Nature

Our regenerative approach doesn’t just protect nature—it helps it thrive. By mimicking natural grazing patterns, improving soil health, and working with natural water systems, we’re proving that farming and wildlife can coexist successfully.

Join Us in Our Mission

We invite visitors, schools, and conservation groups to learn from and be part of our nature recovery journey. Whether you join us for a farm tour, a biodiversity survey, or a hands-on conservation project, your involvement helps us make a lasting impact.
